Gumbaynggirr Forests: Kalang Headwaters, Newry Forest, Pine Creek Forest. Marches, rallies and vigils.

A series of banners designed for display within New South Wales state forests which continue to be under threat from industrial logging practices and legislation.

The font was selected for clarity and to impart a sense of authority to the message. The clarity and scale of the lettering was designed to ensure that the message was legible when the banners were photographed in situ and uploaded onto social media.

Where possible materials were chosen for their biodegradable properties, (calico, sisal rope, dowel). Sometimes fallen branches and small stones from the location were utilised. Banners were up to 4 metres in length. All were painted and stitched by hand.
